JOB SUMMARY:

You will be an online Ambassador for the S&S brand. You will monitor brand activity across various social media sites and blogs, cultivate and grow online relationships with key target audiences, and seek new opportunities to integrate social media into our strategic marketing objectives. The Social Media Coordinator must be well-versed in social media and experienced with social networking sites such as Facebook, Instagram, YouTube, TikTok, and others.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  • Monitoring of social media sites, alerts, blogs, and clipping software for any mention of the brand or related topics; researching and coordinating the appropriate response in a timely, effective manner. 
  • Participating in online conversations, personifying the brand in a positive, helpful light by listening to users, being sensitive to hot-button topics and issues, and providing a solution whenever possible. 
  • Researching and replying with succinct answers to highly technical questions will be a regular part of your day. 
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends and emerging platforms, providing insights and recommendations for continuous improvement. 
  • Research on related topics and posting new content for key user audiences to maintain a positive, relevant presence for our brand. 
  • Ensure all brand information is accurate across social media sites/networks (videos, maps, photos, account descriptions, contact info, etc.) 
  • Implement the launch of new products within the social media sphere, researching the appropriate sites and platforms, and identifying opportunities to leverage and expand the reach of the new product launch. 
  • Assist in the execution and promotion of events both in person and via social media. 
  • Work across departmental lines to ensure that our brand's strategic direction and message are executed consistently and properly in the social media sphere. 
  • Expand and maintain an ambassador network (market influencers) across crucial social media sites, monitoring their activities to ensure consistency, effectiveness, and success. 
  • Conduct research and analysis of new social media trends, sites, tools, and news; reporting to the rest of the team on significant industry developments and making recommendations for how best to support our brand. 
  • Provide weekly and monthly reporting to the team on the success of (and challenges facing) all of our social media efforts. 
  • Monitor competitor activity and industry trends to identify opportunities for innovation and differentiation.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • 5+ years of professional work experience; a background in Marketing, Advertising, and/or Public Relations is a plus. 
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills are a crucial part of the success of this position, specifically the ability to present ideas and information clearly, personify the voice of the brand, adjust tone and nuance with the audience in mind, and engage with other social networking users in a personal and meaningful way. 
  • Previous experience working with social media on behalf of a brand is desired. If applicable, links to the online presence of these brands will be requested during the application process. 
  • You must have active, established accounts across key social media sites, including Instagram, Facebook, and TikTok. 
  • You must have experience and an inclination to work in a collaborative team environment where good ideas and experienced opinions are highly valued. 
  • Creative mindset with the ability to generate innovative ideas and content 
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment 
  • A passion for motorcycles and a solid understanding of the motorcycle culture 
  • A passing knowledge of simple HTML, image processing and editing software (Photoshop), and video processing/editing software (Premier) is preferred.

REQUIRED EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:

  • Basic photography skills are required. 
  • Ability to travel within the US and potentially abroad.
  • Bachelor's degree; a focus in Public Relations, Marketing/Advertising, Communication Studies, or another related degree is a plus.
