Purpose:

The Social Media Manager in the peripheral interventions division will work closely with our current Senior Social Media Manager to develop and execute strategies to advance our commercial objectives and enhance the standing of our senior leaders in the endovascular community. The social media manager will mange several social media accounts, developing content in partnership with marketing teams, brand activation managers and senior executives. This position will leverage social media management and monitoring software such as social studio, and will work closely with partners in our legal, regulatory and compliance teams to ensure all regulatory requirements are met. This individual will have direct communications with several senior leaders and must be able to respond and communicate with these leaders whenever required (including occasional night and weekend communications). The role includes occasional travel to key divisional and industry events to capture photos, videos or help execute events. If workload allows, this individual may take on more traditional digital marketing work, including web content development, search marketing and email campaigns in partnership with our digital marketing professionals. The position is preferred to be Minnesota based, but we would consider remote candidates.

Key Responsibilities:

Drive Social Media Strategy and Content for the PI Division

Conduct annual audit of social media landscape in PI space

  • Competitive analysis, KOL and social influence mapping, key societies, etc.

Perform social listening and provide marketing management with regular reports

Develop strategy to develop social influencers for BSC PI

Develop and execute PI social media strategy

  • Identify and create presence in key channels
  • Develop an editorial calendar and perform regular updates
  • Work with individual marketing teams to cross promote marketing content
  • Develop social-specific channel plan for key campaigns
  • Ensure program aligns with all regulatory and legal requirements

Serve as community manager for PI channels and campaigns

  • Work closely with senior leadership to support leadership platforms on twitter
  • Manage paid Linkedin campaigns, facebook advertising and other campaigns
  • Respond to user comments and conversations
  • Manage an error log and take actions and driven by corporate SOP

Serve as social media divisional liaison with digital marketing, legal, regulatory and cross-divisional partners

Work closely with marketing teams and brand activation team to develop and influence digital content development for social channels

Provide regular cadence of data and campaign performance to marketing teams

Requirements:

Bachelors Degree – preferred degree in advertising, journalism or related field

Minimum of 1-3 years’ experience in digital marketing, social media or IMC

Experience developing social media strategies: facebook, linkedin, twitter, instagram

Other digital marketing or marketing communications experience a plus

Strong project management skills

Able to develop editorial calendar

Strong writing and communication skills including both ability to write social content and author executive communications

Ability to lead/influence a team of peers

Ability to work within a regulated environment

Strong track record of collaboration

  • Must work cross-functionally with several marketing teams
  • Regular check-ins with digital marketing and legal/reg
  • Ability to work directly with senior executives

Ability to travel 5-10% of time, including tradeshow attendance
