Social Media Managing Liaison

PURPOSE:

To assist in managing the design and execution of Marten’s social media marketing plans to attract new drivers to our team.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

1. Maintain a broad knowledge of Marten Transport, Ltd in order to positively convey information to potential candidates.
2. Conceive, create, and post content for all brand social media accounts including but not limited to Facebook, Instagram, and Twitter.
3. Act as and maintain social media voice and brand standards at all times.
4. Assist in managing Marten Transport’s monthly social media schedule, making sure content provided will create positive post engagements, consistent with Marten standards.
5. Create marketing material that coincides with Marten’s branding and image for use on multiple platforms to attract new drivers.
6. Assist in maintaining positive working relationship with Marketing Agency.
7. Manage multiple marketing projects at once.
8. Book, plan, and organize trade shows that Marten wishes to attend.
9. Monitor online reviews to maintain positive online brand awareness 
10. Provide support to terminal and department staff as needed.
11. Aid in retention of drivers by assisting in resolving issues as they arise.
12. Travel as needed.
13. Other duties as assigned.

RELATIONSHIPS:

Ability to work with all levels of employees,

ABILITIES/SKILLS REQUIRED:

Strong verbal and written communication skills with a strong emphasis on classroom presentation. Extensive Knowledge of all aspects of orientation presentations. Ability and skills required in Microsoft Office programs.

EDUCATION/TRAINING REQUIRED:

Four year college degree in marketing or similar degree program or an Associate degree with four years experience in Marketing, or social media related field.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

Sitting/Standing for long periods manual dexterity, light lifting, stooping, bending, listening and speaking abilities.
