The SOCIAL MEDIA/MARKETING COORDINATOR partners with the account team to generate and develop social media strategy and content for agency clients, as well as assists Senior Account Executives in day to day client management.

Responsibilities:

Social Media:

  • Help develop social media strategy to increase online presence and brand awareness for agency clients
  • Plan social media content and maintain the content calendar ensuring content is regular, relevant and engaging
  • Create social media accounts for clients on a variety of platforms including Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, Snapchat and LinkedIn
  • Generate new ideas and platforms to engage client audiences
  • Provide relevant copy, image and video content for social media campaigns for client approval
  • Build relationships with client communities and encourage engagement across social media channels
  • Produce weekly/monthly reports on social media campaigns
  • Responsible for managing and responding to client inquiries and requests received through their social media platforms on a timely basis (reputation management)

Marketing Support:

  • Provide administrative support to senior account staff on day to day client actiivities including answering/responding to client phone calls and emails; monitoring productoin and creative deadlines on projects; taking notes at meetings and preparing conference reports for client and agency teams
  • Gathers and assembles background information and analyses as needed by senior account management in development of creative briefs
  • Assist in the development of meeting agendas, campaign performance reports, project timelines, client presentations and new business pitches
  • Proofread copy, artwork, agency and printer proofs of client projects prior to client submission

Required Skills/Qualifications/Attributes:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Advertising, Marketing, Journalism, Public Relations preferred
  • Minimum 2 years advertising/marketing experience required. Experience in a social media role preferred
  • Strong knowledge of social media platforms including Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, LinkedIn and Snapchat. 
  • Experience with Google Analytics
  • Demonstrate robust problem-solving skills with the ability to react quickly to assess and implement solutions
  • Excellent communication and writing skills including the ability to think on his/her feet during presentations, explain in simple terms complex or technical information to non-technical people, and the ability to sell ideas
  • Exceptional time management skills, including the ability to manage multiple tasks, work under pressure and meet tight deadlines
