Social Media Specialist

Be Accountable and Responsible:

  • Contributor to a team of 5 social media specialists and part of the media department within an integrated agency 
  • Understand the role of social media and how it ladders up to the overall media plans and client business objectives 
  • Work closely with media teams, strategy teams, creative teams, account teams, production teams, public relations teams, and clients to provide strategic social media counsel 
  • Work collaboratively with Analytics team to make sure campaigns are set up properly and regularly tracked to optimize performance 
  • Stay ahead of industry trends from a cultural, platform, and marketer perspective by meeting with industry representatives and keeping up to date on social trades 
  • Regularly delivers points-of-view and trends presentations on the social media landscape to internal agency audiences and clients 
  • Can handle multiple client assignments at the same time 
  • Develop and maintain strong client relationships based on a deep understanding of client goals and business needs 
  • Is solution-oriented and brings best practices to the team 
  • Participate in continued training and development

These are the qualifications we’re looking for:

  • 2+ years experience in all forms of social media including organic (e.g., community management, reputation management, user generated), paid social media, and influencer programs 
  • 2+ years experience working with top social platforms Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, Snapchat, Pinterest, LinkedIn, TikTok, and Redditt. Experience with industry specific platforms (e.g., Doximity, Sermo) is a plus 
  • Experience with development of all social deliverables including creative/media briefs, content strategy, social asset needs, and influencer recommendations 
  • Ability to conduct social media audits, participate in organic and paid social performance reports 
  • Comfortable with tools, resources and solutions that help elevate the work
