The Social Media Specialist is responsible for supporting the implementation of social media strategies thatachieve company and business unit objectives and increase brand awareness. This position will research and identify content opportunities and develop original content with an emphasis on creating short-form video content for both internal and external audiences.

Major Duties:

  • Assist social media managers with social media strategy execution by creating on-brand social content 
  • Shoot, edit and post short-form videos for internal and social media channels 
  • Conduct social media listening to identify and curate content Help manage content calendars and brainstorm, identify and track content opportunities 
  • Perform competitor and audience analysis and help conduct social media audits 
  • Respond to social media inquiries via social inboxes 
  • Research and write blogs as needed, including locating and/or creating appropriate imagery 
  • Stay current in social media by researching and learning new trends, best practices, emerging platforms and changes to social platforms 
  • Provide additional marketing and communications support as needed

Job Qualifications:

  • BA/BS in marketing, communications or relevant field 
  • Minimum two years of hands-on experience in social media; B2B experience a plus 
  • Proficiency with video shooting and editing, including using Adobe Premier Pro 
  • Experience building YouTube presence 
  • Superior copywriting and grammar skills and ability to create engaging, on-brand social content 
  • Solid organizational and communication skills 
  • Flexible self-starter with the ability to build relationships
