Social Media Strategist

We are seeking an experienced Social Media Strategist to join our rapidly growing, dedicated Social Media team in Chicago that creates and executes social media marketing campaigns for a global pharmaceutical company. The Social Media Strategist works with the Director, Social Media to develop and execute social marketing campaigns and programs by working directly with the client and integrated agency teams to plan, execute and measure all aspects of social media marketing programs.

We are looking for candidates that possess a true passion for building innovative experiences and uncovering the insights that will guide the creation of breakthrough social content for some of the world’s most loved automotive brands, engaging their specific target audiences in support of each brand’s unique business goals.


  • Support for development of social media strategies for client engagements, including building online communities and engaging followers in the brand and journey. 
  • Collaborate with Social Activation counterparts to outline key consumer touch points across paid, owned and earned social. 
  • Foster relationships with assigned clients, building trust and facilitating smooth and timely exchanges 
  • Ensure the execution and timely, satisfactory delivery of client work 
  • Conduct evaluation of existing social media strategy practices for strategic client accounts to ensure best practices are observed 
  • Execute best practices for developing the community within owned channels 
  • Evaluate emerging social networks (Reddit, Tik Tok, etc) and technology solutions for organic channel management 
  • Understand and effectively communicate Publicis Media Consulting’s value proposition, technology, and processes as related to the growth of current and prospective agency account
  • 4+ years’ experience in social media strategy, with an emphasis organic social management, social brand management, or social experience marketing 
  • Bachelor's degree, preferably with a concentration in advertising, marketing, business administration, and communications preferred. 
  • Knowledge of development of content forms, including video, text, still imagery, animation, live action and other content forms that best utilize technology available across social media/digital platforms 
  • Experience with organic social campaigns and programs that drive follower growth and engagement 
  • Strong verbal, visual and written communication skills 
  • Possess confidence, composure, and polished presentation skills to effectively attend and lead meetings
