The social media strategist is responsible for the ongoing management and growth of ThedaCare’s social media channels. Plans and executes strategies and tactics to build community and drive engagement.

Key Accountabilities: 

  • Responsible for maintaining and growing the reach of all social channels.
  • Develops and maintains a social media content plan and calendar in alignment with the overall content strategy.
  • Creates and curates content for distribution across all social channels using images, video, graphics, and other tools to drive engagement.
  • Oversees day-to-day operations on all social channels; Monitors brand mentions on third party sites.
  • Monitors social sites for issues that could negatively affect ThedaCare’s brand or services; notifies appropriate staff of customer service issues and ensures appropriate, timely responses.
  • Interacts and engages with the broader online community, contributing content, sharing posts and providing thought leadership.Adheres to social media policies and best practices; Refines as needed due to industry, technology and corporate changes.
  • Cultivates and maintains excellent working relationships with health system staff, physicians and others to generate stories, images and other social media content.
  • Measures and reports on performance; recommends adjustments to social media strategies and tactics.

Qualifications:

  • BA or BS with focus on communications, advertising/marketing and/or journalism; 
  • 5+ years demonstrated experience coordinating and managing social media in a corporate communications environment. 
  • Experienced and proficient with social media platforms, including, but not limited to blogs, Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, Snapchat, YouTube, and LinkedIn. 
  • Experience in writing, editing, curating and crafting content for the social media space; excellent editing and proofreading skills. 
  • Excellent project management, planning and communications skills; creative, diplomatic and cool under pressure; exercises good judgment in engaging with others in online environments. 
  • Ability to collaborate with and counsel marketing team members and others on social media strategies, functions and applications to achieve marketing and communications goals. 
  • Highly organized, with a strong ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.
