JDRF is offering a competitive internship, beginning the week of June 3, 2019 and running through August 23, 2019. The event intern will assist Peer to Peer (P2P) and Signature Events development staff in the overall planning and execution of three key fundraising programs (i.e. Gala, Ride and Walk).

  • Partner with P2P and Signature Events teams to ensure fundraising goals are realized or exceeded
  • Provide event management and administrative support to events including soliciting event participation/support of JDRF’s mission, auction procurement, data management, volunteer coordination and stewardship
  • Support chapter marketing campaigns and drive engagement activity through the management of JDRF branded-social media platforms including Facebook and chapter website
  • Interest in special event fundraising, nonprofit management, business and/or communications
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Attention to detail
  • Organizational skills – ability to manage time and meeting deadlines
  • Experience with Facebook page, Twitter, WordPress website and SEO management
  • Good interpersonal communication skills
  • Excellent phone presence
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Outlook experience preferred
  • Must be able to commit 8 hours per week (1 full day or 2 half days) at $10/hour.
  • We will only be able to accomodate Friday morning as work option due to Summer Friday office hours.
  • Must be able to attend the JDRF One Walk Family Team Rally on Tuesday, June 25th from 1:00-6:00pm at the Marcus Majestic Theater in Waukesha.
