The marketing communications specialist, Associate, Ag Business, will support CHS Ag Business (includes global grain and fertilizer risk and trading, supply chain, and processing operations), global research and CHS Hedging, a wholly owned commodity brokerage firm.

The position will support marketing communications initiatives designed to drive growth, brand awareness and customer engagement. The successful candidate will work closely with marketing communications and business stakeholders and will report to the marketing communications expert, Ag Business. The candidate should be an organized contributor and communicator who thrives in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

  • Work with internal clients within the businesses on marketing communications campaigns and programs aligned with CHS Global Grain & Processing and CHS Hedging 
  • Write communications, newsletter stories and related content for customers and internal audiences 
  • Leverage digital tools and channels to reinforce brand guidelines 
  • Meet needs of internal marketing communications and business stakeholders through effective planning, communication, and execution 
  • Support ag trade media opportunities or events with marketing communications colleagues

Minimum Qualifications (required)

  • 0+ years of marketing communications or equivalent experience 
  • Bachelor's degree in journalism, public relations, communications, marketing or ag business 
  • Demonstrated writing and communications proficiency 
  • Experience with Excel, Word, PowerPoint and other tools 
  • Familiarity with multiple communications channels, including business writing and messaging, advertising, public and media relations, digital and social and event marketing 
  • Relationship building skills 
  • Ability to exercise discretion and judgement in a fast-paced, deadline-oriented environment

Additional Qualifications

  • Understanding of, or interest in, production agriculture 
  • Working knowledge or experience in agriculture marketing
