Twin Cities PBS (TPT) is one of the most innovative public media organizations in the country. Every day, TPT uses the power of media to advance the arts, spur engagement and learning, help young people succeed and support adults age vitally – and you could be part of this team and work! Twin Cities PBS is seeking a Sponsorship Development Manager to develop and deepen sponsorship opportunities with non-profit, public service organizations and corporations to create new revenue opportunities that achieve our mission and meet financial goals.

MAJOR JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Communicate the full value proposition of sponsoring and underwriting programming with TPT. 
  • Manage a portfolio of partners and clients, including regular communication and prospecting of those partner accounts assigned. 
  • Conduct regular prospecting and research to discover new sponsors. 
  • Be responsible for assessing new revenue opportunities in the communities we serve, and bring forward specific plans to address those new opportunities. 
  • Meet or exceed individual revenue goals as well as helping the team reach the group revenue goal. 
  • Demonstrate strong business management practices, focused on using all time efficiently to manage a large portfolio of prospective and current clients. 
  • Manage the “closing" agreements process to ensure TPT's mission is protected. 
  • Leverage client relationships into revenue opportunities for other TPT departments whenever possible. 
  • Actively participate in regular professional development and sales training activities. 
  • Represent the TPT brand to our communities.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES REQUIREMENTS:

  • Minimum three (3) years’ experience in key sales account executive, fundraising or marketing. 
  • Passionate about public media and working with diverse, multi-cultural audiences, partners and communities. 
  • Exceptional communication skills including verbal, writing, editing and presenting. 
  • Strong relationship builder and easily collaborates with stakeholders - communicate openly, solve problems proactively, offer creative ideas and work as a positive, engaged team members. 
  • Self-management: Solution and action-oriented. 
  • Enjoy working on multiple projects simultaneously and able to prioritize deadlines. 
  • Advanced proficiency in the Microsoft Office Suite, specifically Word, PowerPoint and Excel. 
  • Ability to set high expectations and consistently achieve high revenue goals. 
  • Proficiency managing a CRM, such as Salesforce, to maximize relationship management. 
  • Proficient in or able to quickly learn Neilsen TRAC underwriting tool and Neilsen Prime Lingo qualitative data tool for prospecting and developing marketing solutions. 
  • Bachelor’s degree in business administration, marketing, communications or sales preferred.
