The Cereal Innovation team is on a mission to drive sustainable, long-term growth for General Mills and the cereal category by introducing new benefits that meet the evolving needs of our consumers. Join us and help shape the future of breakfast.

The Sr. Brand Associate leads cross-functional teams to commercialize new product launches. Strong project management skills and team leadership skills are essential to success in this position, as are strategic thinking and comfort with data analytics.

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES:

Ownership of specific new item launches, including:

  • Cross-functional team leadership and project management 
  • New Item forecasting in partnership with Demand Planning team 
  • Development of compelling sales materials 
  • Post-launch analysis and in-market performance reviews

Partnership with broader Innovation team on pipeline development & launch support:

  • Actively participate in consumer learning and distillation of insights 
  • Manage critical internal systems and processes related to new item set-up 
  • Lead reporting & data analytics on recent launches leveraging Nielsen scanner

Tracking Competitive New Product Launches

  • Monitor the competitive environment to identify new launches & entrants 
  • Assess competitive new item performance in market & provide insights/trends to broader Team

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor’s Degree 
  • 2+ years of work experience 
  • Strong team leadership and collaboration skills 
  • Comfort & experience working with data to uncover and communicate key insights 
  • Ability to manage multiple, complex projects simultaneously with strong attention to detail 
  • Outstanding communication skills 
  • Proven track-record of executing complex projects with excellence

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Experience as a Brand/Marketing Associate or similar role 
  • Ability to influence and motivate others, without formal authority 
  • Experience fast-paced project timelines
