In this role, you will build and execute the strategies to drive the Progresso portfolio of products - including Progresso Soup & Foods – with a true general management focus. This includes:

  • Portfolio Strategy: After a remarkable year, you have a unique opportunity to press Progresso forward as a growth business. You will build brand strategy including tightening the consumer target and advancing the vision to drive profitable growth through our Progresso portfolio.
  • Customer Leadership: Leading customer strategy across all channels – including our 1-year-old Club business, and newly secured 7-11 business! This involves unlocking distribution growth with our new capacity and managing one of the largest trade budgets in NAR.
  • Supply Chain: As a complex seasonal business, tight partnership with our amazing Supply Chain is critical. Additionally, as the portfolio grows (Progresso Toppers, Gluten-Free Soup, Progresso Dry Mix, and PPA) you will need to help lay out the plan to maintain our efficiency and agility.
  • SRM: Soup is a highly competitive business. You will flex all the SRM muscles – pricing, mix, PPA, etc. – to effectively compete and continue to invest in our brand.

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES:

  • Lead with end-to-end general management mindset driving all aspects of brand performance 
  • Create multi-year plans across the 4Ps to drive short and long-term growth 
  • Balance and prioritize the role of innovation, renovation, HMM, distribution, trade, SRM, promotions/comms in achieving Progresso’s aggressive growth target 
  • Partner with Brand Experience to create a clear strategy to drive relevance with the Rediscoverer 
  • Lead cross-functional team to profitably win with key customers and continue to build out a robust omni channel strategy 
  • Unleash the power of people by empowering and developing team through Engaging Leader behaviors with four direct reports.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor’s degree and 9+ years of work/internship experience, ideally background in: CPG Brand Management or P&L Ownership/General Management experience 
  • Ability to determine how to use 4Ps to achieve brand strategy and goals 
  • Ability to strategically choose levers to balance short-term commitments and long-term brand health 
  • Understand P&L mechanics and how to impact topline and bottom-line drivers 
  • Ability to identify and evaluate brand building ideas across 4Ps 
  • Large, matrixed organization experience 
  • Success in leading & coaching others

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • MBA 
  • Experience as Brand Manager or similar role 
  • Comfortable pitching brand plans to internal and external customer stakeholders
