Sr. Communications Consultant

Medica’s Senior Communications Consultant is responsible for project management, asset and campaign development, and execution of communications that creatively and effectively support Medica’s Commercial products and services for sales acquisition and retention, onboarding, education and open enrollment.

This role reports to the Manager of Commercial Communications within Medica’s Marketing & Experience department. Ideal candidates will bring a well-rounded background in communications and experience in communications strategy and execution.

The person in this position will:

  • Manage assigned communication projects by gathering, understanding and confirming the project and business objectives, evaluating resource requirements, establishing timelines and accountabilities, gaining stakeholder and SME feedback and regulatory approvals, successfully partnering with teams and contributors, managing versions, releasing final files, ensuring the project is delivered on time, and tracking results. 
  • Craft, implement, and maintain online and offline communications for a variety of Commercial products and plan resources. 
  • Develop videos and support readymade welcome videos through SundaySky, the enterprise technology used to develop and manage video content and library. 
  • Update and add content to a portfolio of assigned client websites using a templated web platform. 
  • Lead development of employer communications as directed, including printed materials, email, and other digital communications. 
  • Draft content for publications related to assigned products, resources, and projects. 
  • Manage and distribute monthly analytics reports and make data-driven decisions to enhance communications deliverables. 
  • Identify and champion process enhancements and automations. 
  • Gain necessary stakeholder, legal, and compliance approvals. 
  • Ensure deliverables adhere to Medica’s brand and corporate identity standards and content is accurate and up-to-date across all online and offline channels.


  • Bachelor’s Degree with a major in journalism, communications or directly related discipline; equivalent combination of education and work experience will also be considered 
  • 5+ years of marketing and communications experience 
  • Health care and/or health insurance experience required 
  • Writing portfolio for review
