Boeing Communications is looking for a highly motivated, creative communicator to join the Boeing Finance, Enterprise Performance, and Strategy communications team.

This person supports finance business partners across a wide range of internal and external communications, collaborating with teams on initiatives across the company.

This role is dynamic and could focus on anything from writing an employee news story on financial performance to brainstorming with a creative team on how to translate financial information to infographics. You could be crafting a communications plan for rolling out training initiatives to the finance organization in the morning and collaborating with colleagues to update website content that afternoon.

The successful candidate is thoughtful and organized and keeps sight of the big picture amid great detail. This person strives for excellence in his/her work and stays focused on success of the team.

This role reports to the director of finance communications in Chicago, IL.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Create a communications plan and associated messaging to engage internal and external audiences on Boeing finance priorities, to include employee initiatives and Boeing financial performance.
  • Collaborate with News & Information (media relations, internal news) and Digital teams to identify storytelling opportunities, create compelling content, identify proper distribution channels, and provide feedback and analytics that align to finance communications objectives
  • Produce timely and compelling internal content including news articles, video scripts, leadership messages, presentations and talking points to various Finance and general Boeing audiences.
  • Support internal and external communications for the quarterly earnings report.
  • Collaborate across companywide finance communications teams to align priorities and ensure consistent messaging.
  • Support senior leaders by providing talking points and messaging as well as writing, editing and distributing leadership messages.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher
  • Minimum 5 years of experience working in internal, executive and external communications
  • Minimum 5 years of experience creating and implementing communications plans
  • Experience producing, writing, and editing communications deliverables

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

  • Experience developing communications strategies that include executive speeches, employee communications, media relations, videos, web content and social media

Typical Education / Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree and typically 10 or more years' related work experience, a Master's degree and typically 8 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
