The role of the Sr. Content Marketing Specialist will be responsible for capitalizing on Follett’s established reputation in education and using content and social tools to build awareness- and revenue-generating, campaigns. The candidate will develop and execute the content marketing strategy and content needed to build the Follett brands among prospects and current customers. A successful candidate will build brand awareness, grow high-quality audience, and engage that audience as we support educators’ literacy efforts with students. S/he must be skilled in identifying and developing compelling and relevant content that reflects the Follett brand and a deep understanding of the customer environment.
The candidate should have proven success in increasing web traffic and brand awareness through marketing content online. The role requires excellent written, visual, and oral communication skills, and the ability to manage multiple projects, and drive and implement a holistic editorial content calendar. An understanding of web traffic metrics (SEO, SEM, conversions, etc.), experience using a social media management suite tool, and experience with eCommerce is a plus. Our targeted audience is highly specialized, so our ideal candidate would have experience in successful content marketing strategies and practices, have worked in education or the K-12 industry supporting education, and have a passion for inspiring literacy in young people.
