Sr. Designer/Art Director (Fashion/Retail/Beauty)

Looking for an Sr. Designer or Art Director to work at a national retail brand in the social media dept. Must be organized, strategic thinker who also happens to have a great design eye and is a conceptual big thinker.

Aquent's Fortune 500 retail client is looking for a Sr Designer/Art Director (depending on experience level and what company determines.) This role will work closely with other designers, photographers, and videographers.

We are looking for someone who has a well-thought out, aesthetic portfolio showing conceptual thinking, brand awareness, and on-trend typography —and results driven digital design. Past agency, in-house or large brand work helpful. Must have experience being on Photoshots, and working with Photographers on Set. Creating shots lists and mood boards for on set photography tone. 

Must be an organized, strategic thinker who also happens to have a great design eye and is a conceptual big thinker. Needs to understand how to concept and execute photoshoots and/or short videos or gifs.

• Ideal candidate also has experience in beauty, fashion or retail... photoshoots... or has worked with and/or understands styling.
• Must know and love trends in beauty, fashion, retail.
• Must have a love of social media, and results driven, catchy social media design for national/global brands
• Ideally this candidate has lead a team, or has a capacity to lead others on the team, both in work flow and creating and executing ideas.
• Long term contract role, 40 hrs week.

• Must have ONLINE PORTFOLIO showing design and understanding many or all: Design Concepts, Directing Photoshoots, Branding, On Trend Design, Typography, Fashion, Social Media
• Some type of Agency, In-House, Photoshoot, Editorial experience preferred (3-5yrs++)
• Ability to research, translate, communicate and execute designs to digital and social media channels
• Ability to work with designers, Creative Directors, photographers and videographers in an assertive and friendly manner
• Understanding of design + ecommerce design for Fortune 50-500 brands
