Sr. Director, Content Strategy
Twin Cities Metro

We are seeking a candidate to bring the Naviguard brand to life through content. The content strategist will lead oversee all aspects of content development – from conception to launch — optimizing it across all channels and creating a content engine that underpins the brand positioning. The ideal candidate will be someone who brings leadership, creativity and innovative thinking to support business needs.

A strategic and collaborative marketing leader with deep experience leading creative strategy to production for compelling storytelling that resonate with key audiences. The candidate would lead content across multiple platforms including website (blogs), member email campaigns, member and provider letters, internal scripts, and multi-media.

Candidates must be collaborative, proactive, and comfortable in ambiguity. This role would sit on the marketing leadership team and report to the VP Marketing.

Primary responsibilities:

  • Build and lead the content strategy and editorial calendar 
  • Lead the development of editorial boards and resources to fuel content and other needs as necessary. 
  • Partner with curators (digital, internal comms, marketing, external comms, and others) to ensure the right content is distributed to the right channels. 
  • Work with content leads to identify and pursue key thought leadership themes that will align core brand objectives with the growth goals of the business. 
  • Researches and distills complex concepts, data and insights into clear and engaging stories in an authentic way that reflects the brand personality. 
  • Develop and implement best practices

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Communications, Marketing, or related field 
  • 10 years of experience in marketing (corporate or agency side) 
  • Proven ability to lead highly visible, complex projects with cross-functional teams

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Demonstrated ability to synthesize complex information into clear, concise direction 
  • Ability to set measurement criteria to achieve results 
  • Ability to strategize and apply a sound understanding of business and financial measures 
  • Exceptionally able to manage projects big to small, strategic to tactical 
  • Experience managing budget and timelines 
  • Experience in managing and working with agency and/or media partner 
  • Must be standout idea generator and problem solver with excellent communication and organizational skills. 
  • Experience or knowledge of health care industry or out-of-network benefits. 
  • Background in Communications, Voice of Customer / NPS, Email Campaigns a plus.
