Overview:

The eComm Category Leadership/Shopper Insights Senior Manager provides business and shopper-based insights-and category development recommendations for assigned Kraft Heinz categories in the eCommerce space. The role aligns with Sales Leadership - eComm Media and Content teams-as well as Kraft Heinz Business units - brick and mortar Category Leadership & Insights Leads to identify and address new and existing business opportunities across all assigned categories and KH C customers. This individual ensures that customer-consumer - and internal information are used to build knowledge and insights that can be used to improve overall category performance and results.

In addition - the Senior Manager is responsible for supporting and increasing knowledge and understanding of the eCommerce grocery landscape and trends among of KHC cross-functional teams. This includes both receiving and proactively creating and managing project work that will directlyi nfluence and support business objectives within KHC and with KHC customers. They also own facilitating overall communications within select KHC categories the eCommS ales Leadership team to insure alignment.

The position is a representative of thee Comm Strategy and Media team to the leadership levels of the customer and supports the overall application of category management principles to business issues - identifying category business opportunities and providing an assessment of the merchandising controllables - includingshelf - assortment innovation and aisle strategy. The position also coordinates information and category management related activities that are conducted in conjunction with the Customer Business Development team.

A successful candidate is a story telling expert - highly skilled in the use of analytical tools - combining disparate pieces of data and insights into a holistic story and can execute a category review process with very limited supervision. In addition - the Senior Manager can represent and explain the process independently to all KHC internal levels as well as Buyers and Customer senior management as needed.

Primary Responsibilities/Accountabilities:

  • Identify root causes of customer issues and opportunities and deliver compelling stories to drive action to address across specific KHC categories and retailers 
  • Run the identification of category / customer business opportunities - develops actionable recommendations - and supports customer business teams in execution 
  • Establishand run routine customer team insights meetings and share- outscovering category priorities that are consistent with goals and objectives as defined by the customer and Kraft Heinz 
  • Develop impactful customer-specific category development recommendations in support of key business building initiatives across KHC categories - and sales channels 
  • Expert in leveraging multiple inputs including syndicated data - shopper card-household panel data and macro level consumer reports that support compelling stories that spur business recommendations and actions on the key sales controllables of distribution and assortment-innovation and aisle strategy 
  • Able to educate- apply- and advise on category management best practices Category Leadership representative in strategic customer meetings and interaction-  e.g.- JVP meetings

Job Skill Qualifications/Abilities:

  • Bachelor’s Degree required 
  • Minimum 5 years’ consumer products industry experience
  • Minimum 2 years’ experience in Category Leadership eCommerce sales - or category management experience preferred 
  • High aptitude indeductive/problem solving capabilities 
  • Strong syndicated and panel data knowledge; 
  • Experience in IRI-Profitero- or Numerator a plus 
  • Polished written / oral communication and interpersonal skills 
  • Robust industry / sales knowledge with emphasis on category and space management 
  • Solid organization - project management and planning skills with the ability to execute with minimal supervision 
  • Ability to create proactive project work based on cross-functional team needs and interactions 
  • Ability to work in a dynamic environment with frequent interaction in and outside of the Kraft Heinz
