What You'll Bring:

  • In this role, you will lead all of TransUnion’s Financial Services public relations and analyst relations activities, including support of the auto finance, credit card, mortgage and personal loan industries. 
  • Lead public relations/analyst relations activities in support of TransUnion’s global analytics, credit risk solutions, and fraud as well as support all Investor Relations PR activities, when needed. 
  • Your Bachelor’s degree in communications or journalism preferred with at least 10-12 years’ experience at a PR agency or in a corporate communications setting. 
  • Proficiency in public relations activities from either an agency or corporate setting. 
  • Creativity, flexibility and initiative. 
  • Basic knowledge of brand fundamentals and principles. 
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills. 
  • Ability to meet deadlines and work under pressure. 
  • Ability and initiative to accept delegated responsibility. 
  • Experience handling multiple projects with varying and changing due dates and requirements. Excellent prioritization and organization skills. 
  • Talent to effectively communicate and interact with various levels of the organization. 
  • Knowledge of software applications used by our groups (typically Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Twitter, LinkedIn, Rally, Salesforce and Workfront). 
  • Experience developing communications materials such as news releases, fact sheets, key message and Q&A documents, etc. 
  • Comfort level in working with senior executives and being able to express your opinions to these important stakeholders. 
  • Play a large part in our analyst relations efforts for your respective businesses/projects.

We’d Love to See:

  • Strong background in the financial services industry with experience focusing on credit, credit risk and/or analytics. 
  • Interest and knowledge about the auto, credit card, mortgage and personal loan markets. 
  • Experience supporting Investor Relations in some capacity.

Impact You'll Make:

  • We’re looking for a PR pro who takes pride in developing enticing press materials while also reveling in the thrill of securing positive media coverage. The position, reporting to the Senior Director of Public Relations and Industry Analyst Relations, plays a key role in building awareness and driving lead generation efforts for TransUnion’s financial services business and global credit risk and analytics solutions teams. 
  • This position is ideal for a communications professional with the interest and fortitude to work with some of TransUnion’s top executives. In this role, you will be the day-to-day lead for credit risk and analytics-focused solutions and the financial services business, delivering strategic counsel and impactful and measurable results. 
  • Possible travel to key media markets such as New York and conferences in Las Vegas will be expected in the future, though it will likely be limited to 10% to 20% of the year. 
  • Provide support and develop relationships with members of the media and internal business groups. Work with PR and other company leaders to develop communications materials relating to the financial services space as well as investor relations. 
  • Work on implementation of communications plans ensuring key messaging, positioning, and measurable objectives are in alignment with overall organizational goals. 
  • Tailor communications plans using a comprehensive range of communication best practices. Analyze responses, leads, and ROI under the direction of the group leader. Interacts with product managers/subject matter experts to set communications strategy in line with budgets. 
  • Work to create awareness and educate organizations on the capabilities of the communications team, persuading and influencing associates to use the team as a resource when appropriate.
