General Mills is seeking a Sr. Marketing/Business Analyst within the Digital & Technology department with strong business-facing and technical experience to help lead retargeting and loyalty innovation work to benefit our marketing teams. MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Collaborate with GMI marketing teams, vendors, and internal Developer/QA teams to define data-driven personalization executions with a lens into data structure, consumer segmentation, content metadata and maintenance. 
  • Serve as the technical subject matter expert on marketing technology for GMI marketing teams, uncovering key business questions and providing analysis, insights, and solutions to answer them. 
  • Execute and contribute to the marketing technology roadmap by matching business needs with existing and upcoming technologies, capabilities, and services. 
  • Gather project requirements from internal marketing team clients and translate requirements into technical documents, identifying and eliminating gaps via partnership with data architects. 
  • Translate requirements for Developer/QA teams and serve as day to day contact. 
  • Translate progress and questions of technical teams back to marketing team clients. 
  • Contribute to documentation regarding data sources.
  • Possess strong learning aptitude and interest in working with new technologies. Help source and partner with marketing technology vendors to solve business problems, execute audience development, campaign creation, and content delivery.
  • Follow standard processes for intaking new projects from marketing teams. 
  • Understand and communicate timelines, define, and adjust priorities, and set KPIs for each project. 
  • Proactively prepare for business meetings defining agendas and recapping decisions made in working sessions. 
  • Develop and maintain internal and external cross-functional networks to support the goals of the organization. 
  • Partner with Data and Analytics reporting teams to ensure business partners have access to the data they need.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelors degree in business, marketing, statistics, CIS, Information Technology, or related field 
  • 6+ years of relevant experience in a business-facing, solution-based business analyst position 
  • 2+ years marketing-related business analyst experience, facing business teams 
  • Experience with writing SQL, SAS, or other programming language. SQL is a must 
  • Experience with relational data, preferably writing analytical queries 
  • Understanding of website or system design and implementation 
  • Experience in consumer-focused roles with strong business acumen 
  • Proven track record coordinating multiple projects 
  • Exceptional organization, project management, and communication skills 
  • This role is based in Minneapolis, MN and would require the candidate to live in the Greater Minneapolis area or be open to relocation to the Greater Minneapolis area.
