Sr. Marketing Communications Manager

As a Marketing Communications Manager for Nalco Water Light, a division of Ecolab, you will focus on developing strategic and tactical marketing communications for Light’s comprehensive solutions in our Food and Beverage + Food and Beverage Global Solutions, Transportation, Institutional, Global High Tech businesses. You will partner and collaborate with the other members of the marketing team and lead communication strategy development to deliver on business goals. The successful candidate will have strong leadership characteristics, excellent strategic skills and a collaborative work style to effectively operate within a matrixed organization.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Leads the development and execution of high-impact communication strategies and campaigns across multiple communication forms to stand out to the target audiences and drive action, including artifacts like sales pitch presentations, case studies, value proposition messaging, advertising campaign, social media, literature and other marketing tools 
  • Develops strategy for and oversees creative development of concepts to communicate complex messages in a variety of communication forms (promotion, advertising, meeting events, PR, digital) to targeted audiences that drive business/company performance and deliver on specific objectives 
  • Leads teams responsible for managing complex, multi-dimensional communications projects that span multiple channels and have significant business impact 
  • Effectively manages internal and external partners to ensure brand alignment and communication and budget accuracy 
  • Develops business messaging for and coaches, executives and spokespeople to interact with internal and external audiences 
  • Organize and coordinate industry trade shows, partnership meetings, and other customer facing meetings

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing, Marketing Communications, or similar. 
  • 8+ years marketing communications experience 
  • Experience setting brand leadership strategy and tactics 
  • Managing communications efforts across multiple customer touchpoints and media channels – including print, email, digital 
  • Ability to effectively manage large, complex projects in a matrix organization 
  • Project-management experience with scope definition, budget, quality, time, etc. 
  • Leadership and managerial experience with vendor partners 
  • Demonstrate B2B communications expertise with success marketing to companies and understanding how to effectively connect with and communicate to businesses 
  • Demonstrate strong skills in critiquing, problem-solving and negotiating to ensure all communication elements fit strategy to create impactful messages and deliver against business objectives 
  • Experience working with Microsoft Office suite

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Strong verbal and written skills, along with high level of executive presence 
  • Critical thinking, analytical, and problem-solving skills balanced with vision and creativity 
  • Experience with Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Illustrator and InDesign
