What You'll Do:

The Sr. Product Marketing Specialist works cross functionally through all business units within Digital River to develop product-focused marketing communication in a variety of formats supporting that support product management and corporate marketing initiatives. This position works on multiple projects simultaneously, working closely with others in the Corporate Marketing, Product Management, Sales and Creative Teams. The Sr. Product Marketing Specialist works to conduct product planning and market research designed to increase product sales growth and brand awareness. This position will lead development of specific marketing plans and activities for a products and product lines to establish, enhance or distinguish product placement.

Communications

  • Works on the development of audience-tailored marketing messaging and communications, including but not limited to, marketing emails, blogs, newsletters, in-person training, in product content, corporate website, social media promotion, product release note publishing and training 
  • Partners to develop product marketing materials and engaging, interactive and effective content for internal and external communications 
  • Supports Digital River’s brand management with design elements and writing style consistency 
  • Social media promotion of Digital River payment product capabilities

Content and project review and analysis

  • Supports the Account Based Marketing initiatives, including content uploads, tagging and mapping activities in the content marketing operation platform 
  • Regularly reviews, analyzes and reports on product marketing communications 
  • Works in close collaboration with product management, account management, sales, corporate communications, demand generation and product marketing to provided coordination of end-to-end content management, promotion and consistency of messaging and version control across a variety of touchpoints and communications for a product 
  • Leads the implementation of improvements to the branding, information architecture, messaging and communication of our end-to-end capabilities to enhance the overall user experience and marketing for Digital River

Training

  • Facilitate training for internal payments-related Digital River University sales training sessions (communications, materials, webinars, in-person workshop coordination, and DRU platform content uploads). 
  • Provides in-line contextual help within the product platforms 
  • Looks for opportunities to mentor/teach junior level team members 
  • May provide training and support to other team members

What You'll Need to Succeed:

  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications or a related field. 
  • 5+ years of professional marketing communications and project management experience.
  • Strong communication skills with both internal and external customers. 
  • Marketing savvy, sales-minded, with a customer-centric mentality and “can do” approach. 
  • Strong writing skills with the ability to craft audience-tailored messaging to support sales efforts. 
  • Experience executing content strategies for integrated campaigns and sales enablement.
  • Ability to develop a variety of marketing materials that will resonate with intended audiences. 
  • A passion for metrics, analytics, user experience and testing to optimize results and support recommendations. 
  • Must be able to collaborate across multiple departments and work cross-functionally with internal stakeholders, customers, partners, and vendors. 
  • Hands on experience working on graphic development with creative designers and web developers, providing content and art direction, with proficiency facilitating the creative development process. 
  • Superior project management and time management skills. 
  • Efficient, organized and ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, multi-functional environment on numerous projects at one time. 
  • Self-motivated and eager to learn with ability to work independently, often with ambiguity, and lead a project without heavy supervision. 
  • Strong proofreading skills with a critical eye for detail and high expectations for deliverables. 
  • Hands on experience working with different website and email development platforms, content management systems and design programs; experience working in WordPress. 
  • Development of social media content strategies and execution a plus. 
  • Experience marketing software technologies and understanding of ecommerce industry and/or digital marketing services a plus.
