Sr. Production Designer (Senior Analyst, Visual/Graphic Design)

The team you will be a part of:

The Visual/Graphic Design team designs and/or creates visual material for use in the organization's advertisements, publications, pamphlets, posters, packages, labels, and other promotional materials. Creates design ideas, advises on layout, typefaces, colors and styles.

Whirlpool Corporation is seeking a Sr Production Designer for its in-house, award-winning creative agency and studio, WoW Studios. Our growing team of passionate and collaborative humans is focused on best-in-class advertising, storytelling, and consumer experience for all of Whirlpool’s brands including KitchenAid, Whirlpool, JennAir, Maytag, and Amana. We’re committed to increasing and elevating Whirlpool’s output of campaigns, content, design, experiences, and digital innovation across all consumer touchpoints (in-store, film, social, digital, experiential, etc).

WoW Studios is located in the historic Reid Murdoch Building at the edge of Chicago’s Riverwalk and at Whirlpool’s Global Headquarters in Benton Harbor, MI.

 In this role, will build cohesive, powerful, and relevant brand experiences by partnering with Creatives, Brand Teams, and Program Managers on specific projects. You’ll help deliver on what is made and brought to life creatively. You’ll lean into your strong organizational and communication skills, attention to detail, and creative problem-solving.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Responsible for the production design execution of projects to brand standards for a variety of print and digital materials (ads, brochures, posters, packing, etc.) and meet required specifications
• Organized, self-motivated, and quick problem solver who can work comfortably with multiple projects at different stages in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
• Design custom elements based on brand guidelines
• Ensure all assets created are on brand and strategically aligned with teams vision
• Create digital assets and adapt existing artwork for multi-resolution platform
• Responsible for producing established design solutions, resizing existing art or pulling existing files and preparing for reprint.
• Responsible for preparing mechanicals and supporting art files for printing, delivery and archiving.

Minimum requirements:

• High school diploma or GED
• 6+ years of production work experience
• Experience with Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign, Acrobat Pro) as well as Google Suite.
• Experience preparing production files for both print and digital assets across multiple platforms.

Preferred skills and experiences:

• Willingness to jump in, grasp directions quickly, and run with projects (following templates / style guides)
• Attention to detail, keen eye for 'on-brand' implementations, composition, and design fundamentals
• Work quickly and efficiently, to turn around projects fast
• Ability to work toward several milestones on various projects simultaneously
• Detail oriented, proactive, and solution oriented
• Communication skills are required for a solid understanding of project scope and implementation
• Proven production design experience working with assets for retail, consumer brands, or marketing campaigns
