In charge of Children's social media accounts and presence. With minimal supervision, develops social media strategies related to specific programs, issues and events. Develops and implements communication strategies to proactively tell the Children's Hospital story, enhance the system's reputation and build the brand. Provides communication counsel and support to leaders and staff. Provides a clear expertise in social media practices and identifies emerging trends to invest in and develop. Researches health system stories and angles to communicate to external audiences, in collaboration with Brand and Digital Marketing teams.

  • Bachelor's degree required, preferably in journalism, public relations, marketing, communications or related areas of study.
  • Minimum of five years of experience in a role with considerable social media responsibility.
  • Strong project management skills with ability to supervise multiple projects.
  • Interpersonal skills necessary to speak effectively to individuals and groups as a representative of the health system.
  • Must be able to translate technical information for various audiences.
  • Demonstrated skills in growing and leveraging social media channels.
  • Demonstrated skill in researching and developing story angles that result in social media engagement.
  • Experience with social media management platforms like Hootsuite, Sprout Social or HubSpot strongly preferred.
  • Knowledge of Google Analytics.
  • Ability to deliver creative content (text, image and video), including a demonstrated use of photo and video editing software.
  • Interest in staying up-to-date on new social media strategies and digital marketing, assessing and implementing new tools when appropriate.
  • Outstanding communication skills, detail oriented and extremely organized.
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks ad set priorities working in a fast-paced environment under strict deadlines.
  • Expert understanding of how various social media channels work and how to optimize content for specific social media channels.
