As the Senior Specialist, Graphic Designer you’ll help execute the visual communication tone and tenor for our Communications and Public Affairs teams. You’ll maintain brand standards and contribute to various content channels (print, social, video and digital) to tell a visual story for the company. In this role, you’ll oversee the design and production process of visual components for various internal and external communication channels. You’ll also maintain tools, collaborate with partners and coach other team members. This position comes with creative freedom and opportunity to try, test and implement visuals for a variety of internal and external audiences.

This role is hybrid, which means you will work some days at Best Buy location and some days virtually from home or other non-Best Buy location. The specific work arrangements vary by role and team. The recruiter or hiring manager will provide more details during the hiring process.

What you’ll do:

  • Serve as the creative visual expert for the department by setting styles and incorporating brand standards that result in high-impact design for multiple audiences
  • Manage workflow of project requests while ensuring deadlines and brand standards are met
  • Work with business partners on visual communication needs, such as financial graphics and reports
  • Help facilitate photo shoots and art direct illustrations.
  • Develop new ways to tell stories through visual design to grab audience attention
  • Evaluate tools and processes. Suggest improvements and workflows to improve efficiency

Basic qualifications:

  • 2+ years of experience in communications, PR or related field
  • 2+ years of project, process or production management experience
  • Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator and After Effects)

Preferred qualifications:

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including PowerPoint
  • Experience with digital design/UX principles
  • Experience with video editing
