HGA is a national multidisciplinary design firm rooted in architecture and engineering. We believe that the best design results from deep insight into the people and passions that animate each unique environment.

We have an exciting summer opportunity for students who wish to gain hands-on experience crafting and sharing the stories of a dynamic design firm. Paid summer internships will be 10 - 12 weeks beginning on or before June 1, 2021 (some flexibility is available). Currently the majority of HGA employees are working remotely, but we are hopeful we will be back in our Minneapolis office by summer 2021.

  • Please include work samples demonstrating your particulate interest/skillset in communications and content: copywriting, design, professional social media/PR campaigns, website creation/design, etc.

Responsibilities:

Responsibilities will include working closely with Communications team members on internal and external communications projects: assisting with and contributing to content strategy, content creation (writing, graphic design, photography/videography), and content distribution (social media, web, etc.).

Requirements:

  • Basic knowledge and understanding of communications and/or marketing, or a true interest in growing in this field
  • Working towards completion of a Bachelor’s or Associate’s Degree or higher in Communications, Marketing, or related program
  • Must have basic knowledge of Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.); a professional understanding of social media; some experience in Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, InDesign, Photoshop) preferred
