The Studio Relations Manager is responsible for developing and maintaining relationships with Marcus Theatres’ film studio partners in order to optimize marketing campaigns for the studios’ films. Theywill establish relationships with key studio exhibitor relations representatives and internal departments to plan and support key promotional activities/events and augment studio release efforts.

This position reports to the Director of Marketing and Studio Relations.

Essential Functions/Job Duties:

  • Develops and maintains strong relationships with filmstudios. Optimize opportunities for collaboration and partnership with Marcus Theatres on marketing the studios’ films;
  • Acts as the main point-of-contact for studio involvement in Marcus Theatres marketing efforts, including in-theatre promotions, events, sweepstakes, and screenings;
  • Pitches ideas to studio partners to collaboratively market films with Marcus Theatres; Works with studios to ensure creative and campaign alignment;
  • Prepares marketing strategies in advance of the release of key movies in order to enhance the films’ performance and the company’s market share;
  • Manages film marketing campaigns to ensure necessary tasks are completed and deadlines are hit;
  • Partners with other members of the marketing team and other internal departments to ensure key films are effectively marketed via all available channels, including social media and digital;
  • Collaborates with field leaders to ensure films are marketed effectively at the theatre level; Engages with third-party vendors to support company and studio marketing efforts, when necessary;
  • Uses established KPIs to assess the success of film marketing campaigns;
  • Provides comprehensive reports for analyzing the effectiveness of film marketing campaigns for key stakeholders;
  • Assists the film department in developing organic and seasonal content series. Manages campaign planning and material creation to create awareness and attendance;
  • All other duties as assigned by the Director of Marketing & Studio Relations.

Job Requirements:

  • Five to seven (5-7) years of related marketing, partner management, and project management experience;
  • Ability to think strategically and creatively;
  • Experience creating and executing engaging marketing campaigns;
  • Ability to build and maintain strong relationships with partners, corporate staff, and field leaders;
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills;
  • Strong knowledge of current marketing concepts, strategies and best practices, including legal policies, with an understanding of traditional marketing channels
  • Strong project management skills and the ability to work on a team;
  • Outstanding organizational skills and the ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously while meeting deadlines;
  • Can thrive in a fast-paced environment and open to additional assignments as needed;
  • Has strong Microsoft Office skills, particularly in Excel, with the ability to create and manipulate spreadsheets;
  • Ability to travel occasionally and work in office environments and in the field, as needed;

Education Required:
