Manages brand communications, including content strategy, alignment with foundation goals, and various organizational priorities. The role is instrumental in creating and monitoring initiatives that drive engagement and elevate the growing presence of Gillette Children’s in the state, national and global markets. Supports the mission, vision, values and brand framework.

Major Challenges:

  • Collaborates with creative staff, foundation staff, marketing partners and vendors to ensure alignment and cohesion between philanthropic and marketing strategies. 
  • Works closely with clients to effectively communicate Gillette’s programs and services, including creating brand awareness, driving engagement, and generating growth. 
  • Must be able to manage many projects simultaneously with varying deadlines, purposes and audiences. 
  • Must manage the sometimes-competing expectations of stakeholders. 
  • Must be able to translate sometimes complex, clinical information into compelling content that is appealing to broad audiences. 
  • Must be able to interact with patients and families who are often in challenging healthcare scenarios. 
  • Works closely with clients to improve communication of Gillette’s programs and services and to create brand awareness.

Primary Focus Areas:

Manages brand communications, including content strategy, alignment with philanthropic goals, and various organizational priorities.

  • Leads team of communications partners responsible for consumer content, including blog, publications, social media, email, and other Gillette owned media.
  • Aligns brand strategy and Foundation messages to create synergy to maximize philanthropy.
  • Engaged in media placement strategies and messages to elevate brand awareness and drive preference.
  • Actively involved in strategy for public-facing events and activations.
  • Develops measurements to determine effectiveness of initiatives.
  • Coordinates and manages production timelines.

Serves as lead communication consultant, providing strategic marketing support for Gillette Children’s

  • Manages the content process, production, and distribution of communication materials, adhering to established deadlines.
  • Provides counsel to team members regarding overall fundraising strategy, problem solving and team
  • Collaborates with clients to research best practices for brand and philanthropic-related communications

Performs other job duties and projects as assigned.

  • Identifies brand-building opportunities. 
  • Participates in sharing marketing project successes to internal audiences. 
  • Actively maintains files in unified project management system for ease of internal customer experience. 
  • Manages web content on Gillette’s website in close collaboration with the web content 
  • Participates in brainstorming activities aimed at developing innovative materials.

Required:

  • Bachelor’s degree (journalism, public relations, English or communications preferred) or related field. 
  • Minimum of five years of marketing and/or communications experience across a variety of communications channels 
  • Writing, proofing and editing ability (appropriate tone/style, clear and concise, well organized, complete and accurate)

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

  • Proven ability to use metrics to develop communication strategies 
  • Demonstrated effective management of projects from concept to production 
  • Advanced computer skills and demonstrated strong ability to use a variety of publications- related software 
  • Independent problem solving/decision making 
  • Experience in developing strong working relationships with a wide range of staff within an organization 
  • Intuitive organizational skills

Preferred:

  • Master’s degree 
  • Previous experience in a healthcare organization 
  • Previous experience in philanthropy 
  • Previous supervisory experience

The annual salary range for this opportunity is $75,441 to $113,214, with a median salary of $94,328. Pay is dependent on several factors including relevant work experience and internal equity. Salary is just one component of the compensation package for employees.
