How will you make an impact?

  • Responsible for writing, reviewing, and implementing process policies & procedures. Works within own department and other areas internally to ensure consistency and accuracy of implementation and understanding. 
  • Responsible for managing and maintaining process and procedural documentation, following the direction of the Technical Writing Manager. 
  • Responsible for developing new policies, procedures, and work instructions utilizing standardized templates in a manner consistent within the Technical Writing team’s Policies & Procedures framework. 
  • Responsible for the maintenance of versioning for documents upon review or necessary changes for historical and retention purposes. 
  • Assists in developing documentation to ensure alignment with current requirements, laws and mortgage best practices. 
  • Analyzes effectiveness of documentation and recommends improvement opportunities to staff teams and management. 
  • Coordinates with the training group to ensure training materials are updated with the most recent information, policies, and procedures. 
  • Researches, analyzes data, identifies and makes recommendations for continuous improvement of related activities and/or department policies and practices. 
  • Communicates effectively with all levels in the organization to ensure completion of all required approvals. 
  • Responsible for publishing policy and procedure documentation in a Content Management System (CMS), and for managing the policy and procedure documentation in the system.

Do you have what it takes?

Education: Completion of an Associate’s Degree. Additional experience (2 years) beyond the minimum (below) may be substituted for education beyond high school.

Experience: More than 3 years recent and related experience performing complex work in area of specialization. Writing of corporate policies and procedures is preferred. Residential mortgage experience is a plus.

Required Knowledge and Skills:

  • Demonstrated excellent written communication skills 
  • Knowledge of grammatical structure and content 
  • Highly proficient in time management, planning and prioritization 
  • Demonstrated experience with process flow and process mapping 
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision 
  • Project Management background 
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Word 
  • Work in Visio and Microsoft Project a plus 
  • Experience with structured authoring tools a plus
