Trade Marketing Manager

The Trade Marketing Manager role is an essential position in the US Away from Home (AFH) business- responsible for delivering the marketing Masterplan and leading the execution strategy of customer marketing campaigns and activations on with some of our Kraft Heinz most iconic brands such as Heinz- Philadelphia and Kraft Mac & Cheese. This includes sales and marketing execution in Chain Restaurants- Independent Restaurants- C-stores- as well as Non-Commercial Channels like colleges- K-12- healthcare and lodging.

The Trade Marketing team is critical to the success of Away from Home marketing strategy as it owns the development and execution of the AFH Marketing Master plan- collaborating with brand counterparts on all marketing initiatives from concept to execution. Primarily working with AFH Brand Marketing and Customer Marketing- this role will also have broad exposure to cross-functional partners such as Innovation- Culinary- Insights- Sales- Business Development- Operations- and Finance.

The broad scope and cross functional nature of the role will result in strengthened marketing and business fundamentals and a broad approach to driving growth through sales and growing our brand equity across consumer touchpoints. Demonstrating excellence in these areas will lead to future progression on a marketing or general management career path.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Lead development and delivery of the Away from Home Master plan- the roadmap for marketing campaigns- media plans- innovation launches and activations that span across AFH channels and customers and represent the most important marketing priorities for the business- mapped proactively 12-18 months in advance 
  • Cross-functional collaboration to develop campaign and creative assets- with an omnichannel execution in mind- to be used by Customer Marketing teams to lock strategic partnerships and agreements 
  • Sell story development for custom pitch decks- bringing in relevant insights and ideas that will drive mutual growth for KHC and our customers 
  • Analyze campaign KPI’s including customer execution- brand impressions- consumer engagement and other relevant metrics based on campaign goals 
  • Create and manage routines to drive collaboration- keeping the cross-functional team on track for initiatives 
  • Perform all other related tasks focused on delivering the AFH Master plan in collaboration with other marketing teams as determined by Head of Trade Marketing
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing- Business or related field 
  • 3+ years Marketing experience strongly desired 
  • Experience in marketing plan development: situation assessment- strategy- and tactical plan development 
  • Strong consumer approach- focusing on trends and insights to drive campaign results 
  • Outstanding verbal- written and interpersonal communications skills with a proven ability to work collaboratively with cross functional partners 
  • Strong presentation skills- critical to know how to build and deliver a compelling story to internal and external team members 
  • Excellent project management skills- ability to handle simultaneous projects and create execution timelines to deliver timely and with excellence 
  • Good analytical skills with ability to interpret quantitative data and derive conclusions 
  • Self-starter and ownership mentality; flexible and comfortable with ambiguity
