As the resident authority on all things UX/UI, you will be tasked with gathering user needs, wireframing and concepting, designing graphical elements, and building navigational components for our ecommerce website. The Life of a UX/UI Designer:

  • Gather and evaluate user requirements in collaboration with product, marketing, and engineering
  • Communicate design ideas through user stories, wireframes, storyboards, process flows and sitemaps
  • Develop UI mockups and prototypes that clearly illustrate site functionality
  • Design, administer and report on user interviews, usability tests, tree tests, card sorts and more
  • Prepare and present rough draft designs to internal team and organization stakeholders
  • Identify and troubleshoot UX issues, including but limited to design and responsiveness
  • Help create and refine user personas for the website
  • Evaluate and report on key KPIs and user success metrics

This Role is for You if You Have:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Art, Design, Marketing, Computer Science, or related field; or 3+ years of equivalent work experience
  • Working knowledge of HTML, CSS and JavaScript
  • An understanding of the fundamental UX/UI principles for desktop and mobile environments
  • Knowledge of online web architecture, SEO principles in design, production methods and limitations
  • Strong visual literacy in layout, color, visual hierarchy, and typography
  • Fluency in collaborative design tools such as Adobe XD
  • Experience with usability testing tools such as Optimal Workshop, Usertesting.com and Hotjar
  • Accustomed to Agile methodologies and data-informed product development
  • Experience collaborating directly with business stakeholders and end users to develop design concepts
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
