The Opportunity:

As the Vice President, Marketing and Communications, you will focus on developing, planning, executing, and evaluating the marketing strategies for GENEX companies and branches worldwide. You will also oversee GENEX’s marketing tactics, campaigns, and all marketing activities. You will lead the marketing team including the Brand Manager, US Marketing Manager, and International Marketing Manager, with a skilled production team. You will be a member of the leadership team of GENEX and conduct research to report on significant market and audience developments.

Our ideal candidate will reside in the state of Wisconsin, however we will consider applicants for a remote opportunity if there is direct industry experience and knowledge.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Develop and execute the overall marketing strategy to drive brand awareness, customer acquisition, and revenue growth 
  • Lead the creation and management of the company's brand identity, ensuring consistent messaging, positioning, and visual representation across all channels 
  • Develop a deep understanding of target audiences, market trends, and competitive landscape 
  • Drive integrated marketing campaigns across multiple channels, including digital, social media, print, events, etc. 
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams including product management, sales, and customer success 
  • Build and manage a high-performing marketing team 
  • Monitor and analyze marketing metrics and key performance indicators (KPIs) to evaluate campaign effectiveness and drive data-driven decision-making 
  • Continuous Improvement mindset; understand industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in marketing 
  • Develop long and short-term marketing business plan and budget, allocating resources and investments to maximize ROI

Education & Experience:

  • Bachelor's Degree required, Marketing, Public relations, or Communications discipline preferred 
  • 10+ years of experience in marketing, communications, and/or public relations agency with emphasis on digital marketing 
  • In-depth understanding of the bovine industry and cooperative landscape in the global livestock sector is highly desired 
  • Experience with international environments 
  • ~25% travel, domestic and international
