Strategic Integrated Marketing Communications

We’re looking for big thinkers and doers who are ready to take on most any communications and marketing challenges – particularly when it comes to dairy, agriculture and sustainability! You’ll help to lead a talented team, with direct reports, to create disruptive strategies for consumer campaigns and content that reach a generation who expects more from the foods they choose to eat and drink and who demand not only progress when it comes to environmental practices, but the desire to do even more to get to a greener planet together.

As a Vice President, you will lead, manage and measure ambitious programs aimed at increasing trust among Gen Z, while engaging with them in their channels through paid advertising, digital marketing, e-commerce, influencers and more. You’ll take research and insights to drive timeless communications strategies that build the marketing foundation for an entire dairy community and inspire best practices through pilots, case studies and share outs of key learnings to multiple dairy stakeholder audiences. This position will also provide the opportunity to play a key role in multi-year organizational planning strategy that is pulled through an entire industry.

You’ll also help to build communication strategies, creative concepts and programming for large CPG, Food Service, and Retail partners to broaden awareness of dairy’s deliciousness in everyday life.

Our ideal teammate has a solid Marketing background and experience leading strategy and a variety of promotional projects end-to-end along with agencies. To be successful in this role, you should be curious – staying on top of the latest marketing trends and movements, creative – both in ideation and finding solutions to big and small problems, and passionate about positively contributing to an ag-loyal culture that takes pride in the nutritious and delicious products our dairy farmers produce.

This role will report to the SVP of Marketing Communications.

Responsibilities

  • Leads the planning and development of Integrated Communications Marketing campaigns with a focus on sustainability. 
  • Is a thought-partner for senior-level executives by understanding the business goals, industry relationships, stakeholder interests while keeping an eye on delivering impactful results. 
  • Leads by example and fuels positive culture; demonstrates strong work ethic and has excellent people management skills. 
  • Able to coordinate effectively across an integrated team and business units with various personalities and skillsets, cultivating integration across agency disciplines (e.g. planning, research, creative, influencer, digital, measurement and analytics), bringing the right holistic thinking and offerings to deliver against our business goals. 
  • Ability to take lead and execute assignments, work independently and thrive/excel without supervision while keeping leaders apprised. 
  • Possess keen attention to detail and the fluidity to adapt to new conditions, assignments and deadlines 
  • Responsibility to manage direct reports in an empowering way that includes: Ensuring that every direct report has a development plan, monitoring their performance in context to the development plan and providing feedback in a timely manner. 
  • Manage Global & Domestic Innovation team partnerships and ensure integration with Consumer Marketing Communications 
  • Demonstrates proficiency in planning, writing skills to craft correspondence, communications plans, communication materials, board presentations, etc. as well as is able to successfully present POVs and work to gain industry alignment. 
  • Manage workflows and budgets and establish efficient processes for reporting, campaign updates, etc. 
  • Manages down, across and up by working closely with integrated team and by ensuring team members meet approval deadlines and stay on track with deliverables

Basic Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Marketing, or a related field. Candidate must have at least 10 years of relevant experience in Communications Marketing and/or related fields, including research, advertising, management consulting, media or publishing. Must have superior written and verbal communications skills; demonstrate ability to effectively multitask, delegate and manage assignments and accurately evaluate and edit others’ work and who is dedicated to consistently providing quality work. We need someone who helps to removes obstacles, celebrates success and has a positive and calm demeanor. It would be nice to have experience in one or more of the following industries: Agriculture, Food & Beverage, or Trade Associations.
