The Vice President of Corporate Communications & Brand Management will oversee all communication strategies for the organization including brand transformation, reputation management, internal communications, and company news.
This role is responsible for developing and driving adoption of our strategic communication initiatives, policies and practices in a manner that will clarify and uphold our brand to support our enterprise goals.
As a member of the Executive Team, this role partners closely with key stakeholders across the organization to develop brand and message standards, campaigns, and content to deepen relationships with a broad group of stakeholders. This role will lead and develop a team of communication practitioners to create, monitor, measure and evaluate integrated go-to-market strategies in collaboration with marketing, community relations and diversity, equity & inclusion goals.
The Vice President of Corporate Communications & Brand Management sets long-term strategic vision (10+ years) and oversees planning and budgeting for corporate communications and is involved in setting organizational strategy and vision. Continually aligns financial and operational performance to create economic value and reports to the Executive Team on any and all aspects of division. Typically focuses on projects and initiatives that span 5-10 years, evaluates and monitors market trends.
PRINCIPAL DUTIES:
1. Oversees strategic enterprise corporate communications and brand management. Influences marketing content creation towards a “one-strategic voice” message platform.
2. Oversee all aspects of Goodwill’s internal and external communications including crisis and issues communications, public relations, media relations, social media, multi-media, thought leadership, and content partnerships.
3. Identify challenges and emerging issues faced by the organization. Work with leadership team and staff to recognize internal and external communication opportunities and execute appropriate strategies.
4. Develop and Lead brand management and governance leveraging insights and analytics in support of brand's strategy, priorities, and growth objectives.
5. Lead the development and ongoing evolution of a cohesive brand identity that comes to life across all touchpoints.
6. Position Goodwill SEWI brand to drive impactful outcomes that deliver against our brand, product & business objectives, deepening belief in the Goodwill mission, loyalty to the store and e-commerce shopping experience, and reliable, loyal, and quality donations.
7. Actively engage, cultivate, and manage media relationships to ensure coverage surrounding Goodwill programs, special events, public announcements, and other initiatives, to drive broader awareness, affinity, and donor support.
8. Leading and Developing Talent: Directs organizational design for multiple departments and oversees development and training of staff. Ensures ongoing succession planning and development within and outside of unit. Actively networks and sources for positions throughout the organization.
