Discover is looking for a creative and ambitious professional with a wide skill set who enjoys pivoting from video production and animation to graphic design to photography on a regular basis. The successful candidate will produce video and graphic content for a variety of corporate communications channels, including social media, broadcast, intranet and other public and internal mediums. The job will be heavy on graphic design and animation, especially the production of infographic content. An eye for design and demonstrable experience with Adobe Illustrator, Premiere and After Effects are critical to achieving success in the role. The ideal candidate will have frequent assignments on site and in our on-campus studio, and must be comfortable working regularly with busy senior executives, including the CEO.

This role produces visual elements used in public relations and employee communications. He/she maintains the equipment used in an in-house studio. He/she will have the ability to take and edit photographs, use cameras and software to create and edit videos, and create graphics and other artwork that enhances communications materials.

Responsibilities:

  • Takes photos and videos, and creates other graphics and artwork. Uses equipment, including cameras, lighting, teleprompters and sound hardware, as well as associated software. Interacts with employees at all levels. 
  • Maintains an assignment log. Helps manage an in-house studio and maintain the equipment. 
  • Establishes and maintains cooperative relationships with employees and executives.

Minimum Qualifications:

At a minimum, here’s what we need from you:

  • Associate's Degree in Photography, Videography, Graphic Arts, Broadcasting, or related field 
  • 2+ years of experience as Photographer, Videographer, Graphic Artist, Broadcast Producer, or related experience 
  • In lieu of a degree, 4+ years of experience as Photographer, Videographer, Graphic Artist, Broadcast Producer, or related experience

Preferred Qualifications:

  • 4+ years of experience as Photographer, Videographer, Graphic Artist, Broadcast Producer, or related experience 
  • Expertise in Adobe Illustrator, Adobe Premier, Adobe After Effects, and Adobe Photoshop 
  • Ability to communicate effectively at all levels 
  • Experience with video & photography setups, graphic design, data visualization, print or web design
