Video Production Specialist - Editor/Production Generalist

Position Summary: The Video Production Specialist will be responsible for overseeing and contributing to all aspects of video production projects—with a main focus on editing—and, including but not limited to: pre-production, production assistant duties, video and audio recording and editing, set construction, prop management, studio organization, shipping and receiving of materials, cataloging video for archival storage, talent management, live broadcast production, with a special emphasis on video editing, post production and live switching.

Duties/Responsibilities:

• Oversee and work in all aspects of video production projects including lighting, camera setup and operation with a special emphasis on video editing, post production and live switching.
• Oversee and work in digital video and audio editing Work with the rest of the Content Video Team to review scripts and proposals with an eye toward final production
• Ensure that video projects meet USCCA brand standards
• Seek out and remain current on the latest training opportunities to ensure productions meet the highest standards
• Review video presentations with an eye toward continuity and best-in-class production values 
• Content curation and archiving digital assets (e.g. videos, graphic designs, downloads)
• Assist with the upload and distribution of video assets, including search engine optimizatio
• Help to organize and run the weekly company meeting (Oh Shit! Meeting)
• Help to organize and maintain Delta’s audio/video equipment and lighting, including but not limited to: updating firmware, cleaning, organizing, maintaining, prepping, packing, and putting away equipment before and after shoots
• Help to create USCCA branded videos that engage and inspire consumers to take action
• Be fluent in what’s trending as “cool” in the consumer video landscape

Skills/Abilities and Requirements:

• Strong experience in digital video editing preferably using Final Cut Pro X, Motion, Compressor, and 3rd party plugins (e.g. Motion VFX)
• Strong knowledge of modern digital cinema camera, mirrorless cameras, action and mobile cameras (GoPro, smartphones, 360 cameras) Strong knowledge of file management and codecs
• Degree or equivalent work experience in Video, Communications, Journalism, Broadcasting or a related field
• Attention to detail and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, deadline-driven, team environment Very strong written, and visual communication skills Work well within a collaborative team
• Strong organizational and analytical skills
• Skill with professional production equipment operation including video cameras and recorders, audio recording equipment, file compression, graphics manipulation, lighting, and proper handling and troubleshooting of broadcast quality video production equipment
• Availability to work occasional off hours, nights and weekends, as well as travel as necessary for preplanned video shoots.
• Proficiency with Apple products and Mac OS

  THIS ROLE IS BASED OUT OF EITHER THE WEST BEND OR IOLA WI OFFICE - WITH TRAVEL UP TO 10% FOR LOCATION SHOOTS
