This position within the Corporate Communications team assists the Director of Cboe Studios with providing digital media production services to a diverse mix of both internal clients and external partners. Cboe Studios is the company’s in-house multi-media group overseeing corporate video, broadcast television, and other services such as webcasts, podcasts, social multi-media, and live events. We’re a passionate and dedicated team seeking an energetic individual excited about the opportunity to grow Cboe’s corporate brand, reputation and voice across our multi-media platforms through this role.

For this newly created position within our growing team, you’ll bring advanced knowledge and ability to execute on the complete post-production process. And all through the lens of attention to detail and laser focus on deadlines. You’ll also work with the Director to develop engaging and dynamic content ideas, manage studio and in-field video production across our offices and Chicago trading floor, contribute to motion graphics and animation production, and provide support for company’s expansive photography needs.

In this role, you’ll be responsible for the following:

  • Processing and editing video footage to Director’s and/or client’s specifications for corporate video, daily and weekly shows, social media content and other requested projects; animating lower thirds and title slides, working closely with Design team to create visually appealing thumbnails, editing and correcting recorded audio tracks, choosing appropriate music tracks, color correction, color grading, encoding to proper codecs and resolutions for various distribution methods, and delivering content to distribution platforms, partners, and internal clients to their specifications. 
  • Shooting on-camera talent solo or in a small team in a technically sound and visually compelling manner. Set-up and tear down of sets, camera and lighting equipment in field and studio settings. Coordinating with and coaching talent in a remote environment to ensure proper audio and video capture, as needed. 
  • Work with Director to execute broadcast TV appearances; scheduling hits with business networks, coordinating topics with station producers and Cboe traders/experts, operating camera equipment during live hits, and working under tight deadlines to ensure live hits are executed flawlessly. 
  • Working closely with the Director and Corporate Communications team to develop digital media and social content ideas, workflows, and processes to complete media projects in a timely manner to industry standards. 
  • Assisting the Manager of Digital Content with inventory and upkeep of camera, audio, and lighting equipment; consulting on new equipment and software purchases to improve produced content, processes and workflow. 
  • Working closely with on-camera talent to coach/train them on media standards and best practices, assisting Director and Manager in maintaining company guidelines and standards for media content production and distribution. 
  • Organizing and managing media assets on team’s shared network drive and video content management systems, assisting with requests for content managed by the team in a timely manner, and uploading outsourced content to CMS for distribution by company. 
  • Supporting Manager of Digital Content with in-person and remote live webcast productions, working closely with on-set talent and clients to ensure best practices and standards are met during the production, and efficiently troubleshooting audio, camera, lighting, and other technical issues as they arise during a live event. Deliver post-event analytics to stakeholders. 
  • Photographing a variety of internal and special events in a technically sound and visually compelling manner using DSLR cameras with interchangeable lenses, editing and retouching RAW images using Lightroom and Photoshop, delivering final images to client’s specifications. 
  • Staying up-to-date on media trends to ensure content produced by the team is in line with industry practice. 
  • Regular attendance at the workplace in a traditional office environment will be required. 
  • Performs other related duties as required or requested. 

Education:

  • High School Diploma, GED, Trade, Technical or Vocational School
