PURPOSE:

The Video Specialist at Mall of America, is responsible for capturing, editing, and producing videos/audio for internal and external purposes. You will work across multiple teams, collaborating and creating a variety of content for all channels.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Work with Creative Sr. Manager and/or VP of Marketing to on project specifics: strategy, budget and schedule. 
  • Work alongside the creative and marketing teams to ensure vision is achieved and expectations are met. 
  • Offer innovative advice and solutions from industry examples and experience. 
  • Develop and maintain an in-depth understanding of MOA brand identity and implement it into all creative projects. 
  • Capture studio-quality video and sounds, that meets channel specifics including but not limited to broadcast, streaming video, social media, b-roll, podcast, digital signage and more. 
  • Produce and edit content,cut and edit video and audio and add effects (graphics, transitions, etc.). 
  • Manage and oversee all technical aspects of video recording and editing. 
  • Work directly with team on launching podcast initiatives. 
  • Prioritize workload and time management. 
  • Work quickly, often completing jobs within very tight deadlines. 
  • Work both on and off-site as needed.

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Bachelor's degree in Telecommunications or Video Production or related experience 
  • 2-3 years full-time professional video producing and editing experience. 
  • Thorough understanding of and ability to use basic video production equipment. 
  • Demonstrate ability to edit to completion at a high standard in Premiere Pro. 
  • Knowledge of Adobe Creative Cloud, After Effects and other motion graphics tools required. 
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite. 
  • Knowledge of lighting, staging, audio, and other production considerations to ensure content quality. 
  • Thorough understanding of artistic styles, techniques, methodologies, and effects used within video production. 
  • Ability to work and collaborate with creative team members, including other designers, writers, and developers. 
  • Effective organizational and time management skills; ability to manage multiple projects. 
  • Strong communication skills and ability to communicate creative thinking and strategy. 
  • Demonstrate ability to work well with internal and external partners. 
  • Knowledge of different marketing channels and best practices. 
  • Openness to receiving and interpreting feedback. 
  • Ability to work well under pressure and with time constraints.
