Knowledge, skills, and abilities equivalent to a bachelor’s degree in graphic design, photography, journalism, public relations, communications, or related field of study. At least three (3) years’ experience in non‐profit, governmental, or corporate public relations, with personal responsibility for graphic design and other visuals for print and electronic communication. Full command of Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, InDesign, Photoshop). Advanced knowledge of typography and layout principles, including design concepts such as balance, special relationships (negative and proximity), movement, color theory, contrast, unity, repetition. Expert understanding of image resolutions, CMYK/PMS/RGB color formats, file formats, and their relationships to print and web content. Experience working with print vendors, illustrators, and photographers, as well as working with Xerox printers and offset presses. Experience with digital photography and videography preferred. Knowledge of basic HTML and CSSS is a plus. Critical thinking and problem solving applied to graphic design for print and electronic communications.
