Overview

You are a self-starting visual designer with a mastery of your craft who will elevate Rotary products’ aesthetics and usability. You set a high bar for visual and interaction design. You know that the best design can be used by everyone, so you design for global audiences with accessibility in mind. You see patterns in seemingly disparate situations. In the face of ambiguity, you empathize and collaborate with end-users and cross-functional teams to mature a design system.

You Will Have

  • 6+ years of professional experience designing consumer or SaaS applications.
  • B.S./M.S./B.F.A. in Communication Design, Graphic Design, Information Design, Interaction Design, or related field.
  • A portfolio demonstrating breadth of design process, visual design, overall solutions, and impact. Your application will not be considered without a portfolio.
  • Well-versed in color, typography, iconography, layout, UX, UI, and interaction design.
  • Experienced in Figma.
  • Experience designing UI at a global scale.
  • Experience with accessibility and localization.
  • Experience with HTML 5, CSS3, and JavaScript.

You Are Good At

  • Demonstrating your expertisewith strong communication design skills.
  • Working with multiple teams on a variety of projects at one time.
  • Collaborating across functional teams to deliver designs that reflect the strengths of everyone on the team.
  • Acting as a leader within the team, driving high quality user experiences

You Will Be Responsible For

  • Maturing our design system.
  • Pairing with UX engineers and product managers to transform Rotary visual language, components, and patterns into working artifacts for implementation
  • Balance the visual design needs of Rotary’s brand and product design UI to create a consistent, beautiful, usable, and accessible user experience.
  • Managing UI/UX designers as direct reports.
