Visual Designer (Web and Mobile)

Reporting to the Creative Services Manager, with responsibilities to Web & Interactive and Information Systems, the Visual Designer is responsible for creating visual designs for mobile, web and desktop.

Reporting to the Creative Services Manager, with responsibilities to Web & Interactive and Information Systems, the Visual Designer is responsible for creating visual designs for mobile, web and desktop that enhances the user experience, and strengthens the Marshfield Clinic brand. This highly creative, organized and self-motivated individual will have exceptional visual, online and mobile design skills. Besides possessing strong communication skills, the Visual Designer must flourish in a fast-paced, agile, and deadline-driven environment.

A Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in design, new media or multi-media design required. Exceptional stylistic and aesthetic breadth encompassing website design, as well as rich internet applications and mobile. A Design portfolio. Expert with Adobe Creative Suite, Illustrator, Photoshop, Flash/Silverlight, Microsoft Office and other appropriate software tools. Intimate knowledge of HTML with a strong understanding of internet technologies. Successful experience leading both large- and small-scale design initiatives in a team setting. Understanding of usability guidelines; design experience related to accessibility and usability issues and trends. Three to six years of visual design experience for web and or mobile platforms preferred.
