We’re looking for someone who is fluid in all things digital and social, including advertising, SEO, SEM, paid and organic social, and RESULTS. You’re able to roll with Google changes as they happen. You’re at least conversant in code, are positive on the use of negative keywords and eagerly champion the power of an idea. If you’re organized, strategic, don’t mind getting your hands dirty, are passionate about driving results, and really, really love data, then you just might be what we are looking for.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Provide strategic counsel, creative thinking and advise on digital/social campaigns and tactics across the ecosystem of integrated paid, earned, shared and owned media
  • Develop and maintain strong client relationships rooted in a deep understanding of the industry and client business goals
  • Manage and mentor a growing social media and digital staff
  • Develop, and manage social and digital advertising accounts and their campaigns across multiple platforms, while driving strategy, engagement and overall ROI
  • Set KPI targets, measure and regularly report performance and ROI
  • Evaluate and recommend proper ZG systems and platforms for digital and social media (e.g., Google Keyword Planner, Google Tag Manager, CRM software, SEMrush, TapClicks, HubSpot, Sprout Social, etc.)
  • Perform keyword discovery, competitor research, technical audits, and content reviews, based on SEO best practices
  • Manage all PPC and lead-gen campaigns including CPC, conversions, keyword research, bidding, campaign management and work with content/copy staff to create effective ad copy
  • Create and administer buys, dashboards, reports and key reporting tools for PPC and paid social campaigns
  • Use Google Analytics to manage SEO, providing reporting and recommendations
  • Optimize to target ROIs and make analytics-driven decisions and optimizations to drive performance and incremental revenue
  • Gather insights from multiple data sources and continually monitor digital, social and SEO campaigns making informed decisions to improve performance of campaigns
  • Communicate regularly with clients as well as internal account service, creative and development teams, including assisting in wireframe development based on SEO best practices
  • Work with design, content and development teams to optimize organic and paid content, including assisting in wireframe development based on SEO best practices
  • Stay apprised of new and emerging technologies, provide technical strategy, direction and offer creative solutions
  • Perform keyword discovery, competitor research, technical audits, and content reviews, based on SEO best practices
  • Add, or suggest the addition of, new keywords and SEO best practices to optimize search
  • Research, understand and implement new technologies, and automation capabilities that enhance SEO/PPC efforts
  • Understand and utilize A/B testing and optimize through its use
  • Provide accurate timing estimates for assigned projects
  • Manage and grow Digital and Social Media practice area through appropriate staffing
  • Contribute to the company’s development standards and process
  • Take active ownership and accountability for all assigned projects through final delivery, meeting all timeline milestones
  • Work as a team member to share ideas, critique work, and balance out the workload
  • Remain up-to-date with UX, SEO, and interactive design and development trends
  • Maintain high ethical standards and follow the rules and practices outlined in the ZG Employee Handbook
  • Attain and maintain Google Analytics, Google Adword and other relevant certifications for ZG
  • Other as needed and required

Qualifications:

  • A minimum of seven years of digital and social media experience, preferably in an agency environment
  • Demonstrated track-record of delivering and reporting innovative, high-quality solutions on-time and on-budget
  • Ability to establish executive level relationships
  • A proven leader with the ability to manage and motivate teams to produce quality results
  • Confident and effective communicator who demonstrates deep personal character and optimism
  • A leader that people choose to follow; someone who challenges their teams – and self, to deliver the very best in everything they do while unleashing the creativity of the teams around them
  • Thinks big and broad, without being constrained by existing norms or business models
