The Vice President, Marketing is a critical member of the Hearth & Home Technologies (HHT) Fireplace Business Unit leadership team who will lead best in class Marketing strategy and initiatives to grow fireplace and fireplace brand awareness. This role will partner with leaders within sales and product management to drive growth across all fireplace product categories and will be responsible for marketing functions including brand and category management, creative, trade partner marketing and events, marketing communications, digital marketing, and marketing technology for the largest business unit of HHT.

Reporting into the SVP, Fireplace Business Unit, this leader will possess the vision, results-orientation and interpersonal skills required to create a vision and execute marketing strategies that increase overall awareness and growth of the fireplace brands. They will be a change agent who has an innate drive to make things better.

The successful candidate will have a track record of measurable success, be a strategic thinker who is also hands-on to build and deliver results, and a constant generator of ideas with a willingness to experiment in a measurable way. Prior experience working in a channel-driven company as well as understanding the importance of connecting with consumers and trade partners to understand their needs and drive demand is necessary. This confident yet humble leader also has experience bringing different groups together to work collaboratively and effectively.

What you will do:

  • Create, manage, and lead the overall marketing strategy and implementation for the Fireplace Business Unit. 
  • Lead profitable revenue growth strategies and loyalty program across Marketing as well as the cross functional team to meet or exceed growth objectives. 
  • Build high integrity, scalable processes to efficiently prioritize and deliver high quality outputs that enhance customer experience and maximize company revenue and profitability. 
  • Translate strategies to ensure an understanding of the business’ needs and to ensure adoption of key marketing initiatives. 
  • Leverage technology infrastructure to streamline process and deliver more value. 
  • Partner with internal teams to monitor and evaluate marketing decisions using customer analytics that measure outcomes and assess quantifiable metrics and return on investment across segments; accountable for developing action plans, applying learnings, and driving results. 
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deeply understand existing and new customer opportunities and performance; share insights across teams in order to influence and meet customer needs, build deeper brand awareness, and support brand sales and margin goals. 
  • Key marketing business partner to lead expansion of marketing ideas across eCommerce. 
  • Create and manage assigned budget for the marketing function.
  • Mentor and coach a winning team and create an environment that gives the individual/team the responsibility and the authority to achieve goals, as well as holding them accountable for attainment of those goals. 
  • Champion a diverse and inclusive work environment.
  • Bachelor’s degree in English, Marketing, Advertising, Communications or related field or equivalent combination of education and experience 
  • 10 or more years of successful broad marketing leadership experience driving and implementing revenue growth. 
  • Consumer durable goods experience preferred. 
  • Demonstrated experience creating marketing strategies based on market and customer insight with the ability to influence alignment throughout an organization 
  • Proven ability to attract, develop and retain great talent - successful track record of managing, building, and scaling highly effective and diverse teams 
  • Strong ability to synthesize quantitative and qualitative data into actionable insights about the customer, the channel, and the business 
  • Experience leading brand management, marketing communications and insights 
  • Deep marketing background, including familiarity with marketing tech stack tools 
  • Ability to think both long-term and short-term to develop actionable plans that support strategic marketing objectives 
  • Ability to clearly prioritize, sift and deselect priorities for self and team 
  • Ability to collaborate and work effectively with others
