We need an experienced VP, Strategy to work across account, creative, tech and data teams to guide the development of new digital brand experiences that drive impact for clients. We’re targeting someone who can dive into digital strategy as well as brand strategy. Creating clear and insightful briefs that inspire and inform is a crucial part of the job. To do this successfully you must be able to craft insights from complex data, past performance, and emerging trends - and most importantly, find clarity in the chaos.

Responsibilities:

  • Managing Strategists in your discipline and in specialized strategy roles 
  • Crafting briefs and being a key part of the creative process from conception to execution 
  • Inspiring and challenging the teams you work with on a daily basis - make them & the work better 
  • Partnering with clients to understand their objectives, brand identity, and key consumers 
  • Analyzing research to uncover opportunities to further the brand and drive business growth 
  • Defining key audiences and creating material to bring them to life (profiles, personas, etc) 
  • Creating user experience journeys and informed comms/content plans across the journey 
  • Developing frameworks that simplify complex ideas and create common understanding 
  • Leading workshops for internal teams and clients 
  • Presenting findings and sharing recommendations or plans with clients and other agencies 
  • Collaborating with cross-discipline teams to elevate client work 
  • Thinking and communicating in a clear way (be smart, have unique ideas, do NOT rely on jargon) 
  • Working on multiple accounts at once; ability to shift quickly across brands and industries
  • BA/BS degree required - does not have to be in communications discipline 
  • Experience working at an agency within a strategy team (8 years minimum) 
  • Deep knowledge of digital marketing trends, tactics, and bests practices is a must 
  • Proven ability to communicate clearly and manage time effectively 
  • Fluency in research tools like MRI, social listening platforms, Google and Adobe analytics, etc. 
  • Experience conducting primary research 
  • Fluency in digital platforms and e-commerce a plus
