Web Content Specialist Intern

HealthPartners is the largest consumer-governed, nonprofit health care organization in the nation, providing care, coverage, research and education to improve the health of members, patients and the community. As a part of the Web & Mobile Marketing team, the Web Content Specialist Intern is responsible for adding and maintaining online content for the public HealthPartners websites.

To accomplish this, the Web Content Specialist Intern:

  • Performs content maintenance updates to www.healthpartners.com
  • Helps ensures websites meet documented standards for design, accessibility, consumer engagement and search engine optimization.
  • Develops relationships with business and technical teams to ensure effective communication


  1. Update content on www.healthpartners.com. Content might include text, images, forms, links, database content, audio, video or PDFs. 
  2. Provide support service to help deliver high-quality service to internal clients requesting web updates and stakeholders for web projects. 
  3. Use content management system and processes, and adhere to best practices and standards, to format and place content. 
  4. Work collaboratively with designers, developers, project managers and other partners on the Web & Mobile team.


  • Bachelor’s degree in progress or recently completed in marketing, communications, business, web design, or related field. 
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities with business partners. 
  • Strong ability to effectively manage time and projects. 
  • Excellent attention to detail and customer service. 
  • Understanding of interactive design principles, web usability and online marketing needs. 
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite, HTML and CSS 
  • Knowledge of best practices in web usability, accessibility, design, and writing for the web.


  • 1-2 years of experience using content management systems. Adobe Experience Manager, Oracle Site Studio, and WordPress is preferred. 
  • Knowledge of search engine optimization best practices related to site architecture, page structure and content creation. 
  • Experience with setting redirects and vanity URLs.


  • This role will be remote until team members begin to return to the office (unknown at this time) 
  • The work will be 20-30 hours per week
