Dynamic, fast growing ECommerce division is seeking a Junior Web Designer with digital design experience for email design support, and website creative/development endeavors for both desktop and mobile environments. This candidate will work with Web Marketing, Web Merchandising, and IT teams for independently assigned projects, along with assisting other Print Designers in the Creative team for other projects/initiatives. S/he needs to have professional hands-on experience in environments that integrate marketing requirements into design strategies, and s/he should understand the importance of balancing user experience, marketing, and aesthetics, and has experience working within those requirements.

Projects include creative development and graphic design initiatives for online advertising/promotional marketing campaigns (e.g., emails, banners, facebook advertising), site maintenance (e.g., product page creation, homepage presentation, on-site advertising, image restoration/improvement). The candidate will also be assisting Web site design, wireframe, front-end development, quality assurance and deployment for boSaveth desktop and mobile devices within a team environment.

What you get to do each day includes:

  • Supporting Daily Marketing/Merchandising Channels (e.g., emails, promotions, WWW graphics/content) 
  • Support IT related tasks and/or assisting with off hour testing/deployments 
  • Assisting (and assigned with other specific tasks and responsibilities) web site development which includes, site spec development/enhancement, front-end development, quality assurance, and bug fixes. All will be under the direction of the lead designer

Requirements:

  • The ideal candidate must have 1+ to 3 years professional experience of web-page construction and experience with creating web specific graphics for Web sites. A degree in Web Graphic Design/Media Arts, Web Design/Development with Graphic Design focus, or its equivalent 
  • Skilled in HTML5/,CSS3 and Javascript/jQuery 
  • Proficient in Dreamweaver/or any familiar coding editor, Photoshop and Illustrator. Working experience with MSWord and Excel 
  • Demonstrate a strong understanding of the principles of design, with specific proficiency in color, typography, layout design and digital image manipulation 
  • Understanding of cross browser compatibility and is able to develop accordingly

Preferred qualifications:

  • Strong project management skills – including the capability of identifying questions and issues and is able to communicate to move projects forward. Also this individual should be deadline-driven and result oriented 
  • This candidate should be resourceful, a quick-learner, who likes to work with a variety of projects and able to multitask, likes technologies, and communicates well both verbally and in writing 
  • Able to design on the fly in a fast-paced, production environment, work well independently and be able to keep cool under deadlines 
  • A plus – experienced with E-Commerce functions such as shopping carts/checkout, security/user experience (UX) for both desktop and mobile applications 
  • Acceptance of constructive feedback and helpful criticism, while demonstrating a willingness to learn and improve skillset
