Web Designer

Creative Agency Seeks Skilled Web Designer

As a web designer, you’ll combine art and technology to communicate ideas through imagery and layout for a variety of platforms with a focus on websites and other digital platforms. You’ll work closely with Account Executives, copy writers, company leadership and in some cases directly with our clients.

Responsibilities:

• Collaborate - Work productively and harmoniously as a teammate with other designers, copywriters, production, account executives, and others on a given assignment
• Develop original designs across various disciplines, that are on-brand and on-strategy Assist other designers with projectsas needed/requested
• Present concepts to account team internally and revise accordingly based on feedback Review provided content and create designs reflective of messaging/input
• Stay current on design trends, client and competitor brands, and market trends
• Maintain technical knowledge by attending design workshops (with ownership approval); reviewing professional publications; and participating in professional associations.
• Print proof reviews and press checks Understand and apply client design guidelines
• Communicate with account team – new ideas, challenges with a project, the need to extend a deadline or any item that will affect project delivery
• Record time sheet – daily
• Archive projects upon completion following archiving procedures Adhere to company policies and procedures (see handbook)

Capabilities:

• Creative design - create original designs across a variety of applications with a focus on interactive web and other digital platforms
• Deep knowledge of responsive and interactive design, as well ability to communicate design intent to developers
• Understanding of website and UX design best practices
• Hands-On experience with Photoshop, InDesign, and Illustrator; as well as Adobe XD, and other prototyping applications
• Organized - both in file organization, email organization, project priorities, organized work environment
• Detail-oriented - reviewing project input, incorporate details into design, review designs and content to provide error free work
• Multi-task - comfortable managing several projects at once
• Speed - ability to work in a fast-paced environment, meet tight deadlines Time management - meet established deadlines, timely responses to email communications
• Creative direction - ability to follow verbal and written direction from Creative Director, follow/interpret briefs and create effective designs that reflect creative direction and brief
• Understanding marketing strategies and ability to translate into creative design
• Skilled in Adobe suite, specifically InDesign, Illustrator, and Photoshop
• Perform retouching and manipulation of images
• Photo direction - articulate direction for photo shoots as necessary and attend photoshoots, assist developing shot lists
