St.Norbert College is seeking a full-time Web Developer, responsible for the day-to-day technical operations, maintenance, and administration of the college’s websites, content management system (CMS), and Web Servers.

The Web Developer is responsible for the day-to-day technical operations, maintenance, and administration of the college’s websites, content management system (CMS), and Web Servers. In addition this position will be responsible for Web application development, as well as for administration of the college’s web applications, including, but not limited to the mySNC web portal and WordPress sites. The Web Developer must understand complex, mission-critical college processes and be able to apply technical expertise to the development, maintenance, and effective use of college web applications.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information technology, or a related field; three or more years as a web application administrator or developer; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Minimum two years experience installing, configuring, and managing a content management system, preferably Cascade Server.
  • Expert-level skills with HTML and CSS.
  • Experience with modern technologies such as HTML5, CSS3, responsive design, and mobile content.
  • Experience with scripting languages/Web technologies such as Perl, PHP, JavaScript, jQuery, AJAX and Apache.
  • Full understanding of compatibility differences among browsers.
  • Experience developing web applications using a relational database such as MySQL.
  • Experience working with end users to define and document functional and technical requirements/specifications.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Strong quantitative, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
  • Proactive, self-directed, and results-oriented, with the ability to define and execute projects independently.
  • Ability to work with individuals at all levels and build productive and collaborative working relationships.
