We seek a Website Developer to support TRG staff and an expanding roster of website clients. A friendly face and servant heart are key. The successful candidate will be wellorganized, collaborative, responsible and capable of juggling multiple projects at the same time. Good analytical and problem-solving techniques are important to write code, detect errors and address issues before websites go live.

This position is responsible for building new sites and maintaining the server-side operation and functionality of already-built websites. Demonstrated website development experience is required, especially in WordPress.

Specific requirements include:

  • Building websites, especially in WordPress, often utilizing page builders provided by themes
  • Expertise in HTML and CSS; knowledge of JavaScript and PHP
  • Making content updates/additions to websites
  • Optimizing web pages for speed and scalability
  • Maintaining client websites to run correctly and securely
  • Ensuring web designs are mobile-optimized
  • Monitoring site performance via Google Analytics and providing reports
  • Knowledge and understanding of SEO best practices
  • Implementing Google Search Console as required
  • Deploying graphic design applications like Photoshop as required
  • Performing related administrative duties and timekeeping
  • Understanding the relationship and setup between websites, hosts, DNS providers and domains

Who Might be a Good Fit?

  • Someone who appreciates flexible scheduling. We can accommodate the vast majority of family requirements or work preferences
  • Someone who can work independently. TRG is small and tends to train in an informal, ongoing way. We prefer to hire someone who is self-directed
  • Someone who can remain on top of details. This job requires someone who collaborates well but doesn’t require constant oversight

Salary is dependent upon experience. This position is full-time (37.5 hours/ week) but, for the right candidate, could be adjusted to a part-time position.
